COLLAB

Scientific DAOs, governed on GenesisL1

COLLAB gives a lab, a research group, a university, a company or a non-profit its own treasury, constitution and binding votes. Members decide with shares under rules they wrote, and GenesisL1 contracts carry out whatever passes. Nobody holds an admin key to those contracts, COLLAB included.

Open source under the MIT License. Creating a DAO costs only GenesisL1 network fees. Read how COLLAB works.

The COLLAB network. Each molecule is a DAO, drawn from its address; a bond joins two DAOs that share members.

Trade research tokens on DeSciFi

DAOs issue tokens and seed their own pools. Swap L1 and those tokens at the best price across every pool, earn swap fees as a liquidity provider, and see what each token is worth.

How a decision is made

Every change a DAO makes, from paying for instrument time to amending its constitution, passes through the same four phases on GenesisL1.

  1. Submitted

    1Propose

A member with enough voting power submits a proposal and part of the deposit. Anyone can add the rest; once the deposit reaches the minimum, voting opens.

  2. Voting opens

    2Vote

Members vote Yes, No, No with veto or Abstain, weighted by their shares when it was submitted. It passes with quorum, a Yes majority, at least the DAO's minimum Yes, and No with veto under its limit.

  3. Voting closes

    3Wait

A passed proposal waits out the timelock, so every member sees exactly what will run before it does.

  4. Timelock endsWindow closes

    4Execute

Anyone can execute it until the window closes. The treasury makes exactly the calls members approved, and nothing else.

The life of a proposal. Each DAO sets its own periods, deposit and thresholds, and decisions about its rules, members or constitution use stricter critical rules. Read the details.

What a DAO can hold and do

COLLAB's own contracts have no owner and no admin key. The GL1F and CIPNFT contracts a DAO chooses to use have administrators of their own. How COLLAB is secured.

  • Vote like GenesisL1

Deposit, voting and veto rules mirror GenesisL1 governance. Delegators can override their delegate, and the rules change only by vote.

  • Hold anything

L1, ERC-20, ERC-721 and ERC-1155 tokens, CIPNFT sealed data and GL1F Model NFTs, in one treasury the members control.

  • Issue tokens with liquidity

Split a new token between treasury, people and members, and seed DeSciFi pools in the same vote.

  • Earn from models

Own models in the GL1F collections the DAO chooses, charge per inference or sell access plans; fees go straight to the treasury.

  • Seal and reveal data

Buy or mint CIPNFT assets, reveal them to members by vote, or publish them with an on-chain verified key.

  • Act as a multisig

A passed raw-transaction proposal executes from the DAO, and anyone may broadcast it once the timelock ends.
